PhD Program: Students & Graduates

Class Size

The Program is highly selective and draws students from varied backgrounds, including medicine, health systems administration, economics, engineering, insurance, decision sciences, accounting, nursing and dentistry. On average, each year three students are accepted into the doctoral program so that there are at most fifteen doctoral students at any one time. The program’s small class size makes it possible for students to interact with faculty on a one-to -one basis, which is especially valuable as students begin to develop research projects and dissertation plans.
